It's no secret that the Pharmacy Museum is one of my favorite courtyards in New Orleans. Especially for a B.R.E. destination couple because the space oozes French Quarter vibes.
NOLA travel tip: If you have never been - Add it to your list! The museum and the courtyard are both worth a visit. As you walk through the gorgeous historical museum (circa 1823) take your time to notice the extensive collections of pharmaceuticals, many native to the state of Louisiana. Once you step into the courtyard space you quickly notice that it encompasses everything New Orleans: beautiful exposed brick, lush tropical greenery and a stunning fountain that is original to the space.
This darling Bailey Rose Events couple, Lyndsey and Michael, came in from Ohio to tie the knot and celebrate their love in true New Orleans fashion including: delicious creole cuisine, wonderful music, a second line, endless drinks and celebration. BRE teamed up with Columbus Wedding Planner, Confetti Season Events, to make their dream wedding become a reality.
More about the couple from the lovely Bride, Lyndsey:
How did you two meet? Out Celebrating Cinco de Mayo with my friend Kristen and we met his coworker (now mutual friend) Kyle out. They were in town building power lines and curious what there was to do in our small town. Later that night I met Michael.
Tell us about the proposal! I ruined his first attempt that he had completely planned out because I was in a rush to get somewhere. Whoops! So he ended up doing it the following day on our balcony in gulf Shores Alabama, overlooking the beach with my daughter.
What drew you to The Pharmacy as your wedding venue? The courtyard, the place has and edgy vibe with lots of character, that felt like true New Orleans
Tell us about the dress! Think modern princess, lots of tulle and bead work. Found it in Ohio
What was your favorite part of the planning process? Watching my vision being executed by someone else, less stress!
What advice would you give brides planning their wedding? Invest in a planner...or 2! Lol Have a vision that you want executed. The day of, Just go with the flow, don’t stress the small stuff!
What is your favorite memory from the wedding day? I had many but taking time to truly soak all the magic in. Michael and I took 15 minutes and went up on the balcony to overlook everything, the beautiful decorations, and most of all to watch the people that were there celebrating us, having fun, laughing, smiling...it truly was magical!
What's next for the new Mr. and Mrs. ?! Deciding which state we want to settle down in and hopefully a baby around the corner.
